YouTube music video of the week:

I am such a mark for this stuff. Let’s have a tribute concert with every living legend of rock and roll, and then at the end let’s bring them all out on stage together and they can each take a verse of a Dylan song. I remember seeing this concert when it happened and I had never even heard of the song before. When I found this clip again I was just blown away.

Too bad GE Smith didn't get a verse. You got to believe Paul Shaffer was weaseled in behind a keyboard somewhere on that stage as well.

Did you see the comments that people left for that video...

I like the guy who complemented the "professionalism" and "teamwork" it took to get Neil Young a guitar pick. Play the god damn thing with your fingernail Neil....Christ.

I've watched the segment a number of times and don't see what the guy is talking about. I see Neil turn towards the band and I see Smith reach his arm out toward Petty and Neil. I don't see Neil take anything. I could be wrong.

Funny that I've heard a story about The Last Waltz where Clapton loses a pick and Robbie Robertson picks up Clapton's guitar part immediately, but since that story makes Clapton look bad and Robertson look good, you won't be seeing any anonymous posters bringing it up here :D

I would give Steve Cropper a verse before GE Smith.

Robbie Robertson probably sabatoged Clatpon's guitar strap first of all....Robertson is obvioulsy the type of Coke-head that wants all the glory to himself.

BURN IN HELL ROBBIE ROBERTSON!

Long live Levon Helm!
